The original emergency lights in Pier A’s main stairwell lacked personality and put out too much light. MRD designed steel waterjet plates to be stood off from the wall just enough to cover the existing boxy fixtures. The new fixtures allow sufficient light through the iconic Pier A logo and push the rest back onto the wall.
